This week the Curious Curies have been getting in the festive spirit! In our maths sessions, we have been doing a variety of Christmas themed activities. Take a lot at our Christmas Coordinates below:
This week has been very exciting for the Curious Curies. We have been very lucky as Primary Enterprise Challenge came in and spent a full day with our class designing a new product for Crazy Soap to produce. The children were brilliant and really enjoyed their day. They had the chance to create a brand name, logo, product and packaging.
They then had to present their idea and the winners are going to compete with winning groups from other schools for a chance to take their product to the Crazy Soap factory!
Any work for children at home that is put on to class pages will be to print off at home only.
Due to health and safety issues we will not be providing paper copies for children at home.
You can put your answers on a sheet and take a photo to send in or put them onto a word document and email in.
Thanks
Due to updated government guidance we can no longer provide additional reading books for home. Please read the books you have, look at magazines, share stories from your bookshelf and use our online links to support your child’s reading.
Any books returned to school will be left in a box until we can clean them for the safety of staff and pupils. Many thanks for your continued support in these difficult times.

Currently, in school, we are not following the daily timetable. Ours and your main focus at the moment should be: reading, times tables, phonics (to fill knowledge gaps).
Please complete a journal at home with your experiences during this strange time. This can be your written experience, but you can also illustrate it too.
Most importantly, spend quality time with family. Go on walks, paint, draw, be creative, bake, cook, talk and even learn how to do something new. This means that we have the opportunity to be more creative and to learn new skills.
Stay Safe, Mrs Whitehead
Please send us pictures of your fun activities at home too. With your permission, we would like to share these photos on our class pages. Let's share some inspiration with our fellow classmates.
Perhaps, you have been baking, drawing or creating some fun activities to do whilst you are at home.
You can send these pictures to:
Let's get writing!
We would like to read your experiences of working from home too. As this is a significant moment in time, we would like to document what is going on within our lives.
Writing a journal or diary during this time would document this point in our modern history.
You can write a journal on the computer or on paper and send it to the school email address.
Be a part of history! Describe your thoughts, feelings and what you have done during your time away from school.
We are all missing you and it would be lovely to hear from you.
Lots of Love,
Mrs Whitehead
If you would like to continue to practice skills that you have learnt in school, please find work below for your child in the event of a lockdown. The work does not require printing and we do not expect you to hand it in.
The work has been split into weeks and days. The work should have varying difficulties (if it requires it). Your child is well adapted to knowing the level that they should be working at, allow them to choose the level that they feel is best for them.

Welcome! We are Awesome Australians!
We have had a great start to the year. We have delved into our 'Who Do You Think You Are?' topic and we have written autobiographies about ourselves. We have created family trees as part of our homework and we are now looking into the very current topic of Climate Change within our second writing cycle. We are looking at the impact that climate change has on us and the world around us. It is extremely interesting, especially because our research is informing what we write!
